Our family’s Boulder trip included four Hyatt hotel nights at 6,000 Hyatt points per night: 24,000 Hyatt points total. That covered the hotel nights through an award booking; it is not a claim that the entire trip had no cash costs.

That is the actual points total we shared for this trip. We are not attaching a made-up cash value or claiming a specific dollar savings. A dollar comparison would need the equivalent room’s cash quote from the time we booked.
Why a smaller redemption matters
Family points content can make it feel as if every useful vacation needs hundreds of thousands of points. Some do—especially when you add five flights. But removing a hotel bill from a smaller getaway is meaningful too.
A hotel-only goal can be easier to understand: find a suitable room, check four nights, confirm the points total, and book. You can learn the process while making a trip you already wanted more affordable.
What this example does not promise
Our past rate does not establish today’s price. Search your own dates, all guests, and the exact room. We have not published a property-specific booking recipe here because a hotel name, room category, and current availability have not been confirmed for this guide.
The 24,000 points are Hyatt points. We are not claiming that we transferred from a particular card or used a particular offer for this stay. Your bank-points requirement depends on the transfer rate available to you.
